DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of roasting your own small-batch coffee in this hands-on workshop!\nJoin us at a learning experience at our Coffee Roastery! This class is intended to introduce and educate attendees on the craft of coffee roasting through a specialty coffee lens; to elucidate the benefits of roasting with intention\, specialty-grade coffee\, and access to fresh product. Class Outline:-Attendees will be permitted into the Roastery where they will participate in a discussion about coffee roasting (short history\, methods\, how a drum roaster works\, how we approach roasting) and engage in sensory analysis-Attendees will have the opportunity to experience green coffee visually\, olfactorily\, and physically-Attendees will follow a roast and experience how a roast progresses through visual and audio cues (color evolution\, Maillard Reaction aroma\, first crack\, etc)Included with Class:-Attendees will take home a total of 12 oz of freshly-roasted coffee-Mini dessert and drink sample of upcoming special beverage
